In class we have been reflecting on our year. I looked at the goals I set at the begining of the year. Then I had to think about wheather I have achieved my goal or not. My goal was Geometry 3D shapes. think I did good in writing my information report because at home I write stories all the time. Also got top 3 of our information report drafts.

I think I could do better  at geometry 3D shapes because I don't really understand parallelograms.

Awesome old art

Today in Cybersmarts we worked on  on a practice activity  for the summer learning journey.

we had to watch a video explaining the elements of art after that we had to colour in a old picture

I coloured in 1832 giant wave. Next we made a copy of a google drawing.

Fake news headline

 Today for cybersmarts smart media te rito stepping up.First we watched a video explaining the quality of media next we watched another video explaining Five Ways to detect fake or real websites. Then we had to fill in a list of fake or real websites after that we had use canva or google drawings to create a fake news headline. I used canva because I thought it would be easier here is a picture of my fake headline.

My amazing book club

First we find a book that we think is interesting.

Then we work in our to figure out how many pages we need to read each day.

while reading each section we fill in our
discussion ticket with figurative language,vocabulary,favourite paragraph,favourite part.

Finally we share the information from our tickets. Every one in your group has a job either illustrator,editor,

translator,publists. Then we talk about our discussion seed before filling in our booklet.

This week I chose to read book three kiwi kids.

It is about different stories for kiwi kids.

My Dream room

WALT: Find the Area and Perimeter of different shapes Today I desighned my dream room. Then I figured out the Area and Perimeter of all the Items in my room.

S.C What is perimeter and area. Perimeter is the distance around the outside of a shape.

Formula.= 21 +2w.  Area is the space inside a shape.

Formula = 1 x w.

I measured a carpet square 

The perimeter of the carpet  square it was 240 cm and  the area is 3600.

Today at school in Ata Hapara with the year 4 5 s and 6 s we made 3D key rings and bag tags t was very fun but it took a lot time. This is how i combined all the shapes First i combined the rectangle
with the key hole. second shape i combined was the Matariki text in.
